Yummy Pizza Rolls Recipes

Homemade Pizza Rolls

Meat

  • 8 oz Pepperoni

Produce

  • 1/4 cup Green onions
  • 1/2 Green pepper
  • 1/4 cup Mushrooms, fresh

Condiments

  • 1 14 oz jar Pizza sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 1 Flour
  • 2 cups Gluten free flour
  • 1 tbsp Salt

Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 Oil

Dairy

  • 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella cheese

Liquids

  • 1/4 cup Water, very hot

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Blend the flour and salt in a medium bowl. Add water slowly until dough is only slightly sticky {different gluten free flours will take varying amounts of water.}
  3. Allow the dough to rest for at least 10 minutes.
  4. After adding flour to surface of counter, knead enough extra flour into the dough to make it smooth and non-sticky.
  5. Roll dough out to a thickness of 1/8 inch, then use a pizza cutter to cut a grid of 1.5"x3" {approx.} rectangles.

Taco Pinwheels

25 mins to make, serves 18

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1/2 lb Ground beef

Baking & Spices

  • 2 tbsp Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix

Bread & Baked Goods

  • 1 can Pillsbury pizza crust, refrigerated

Dairy

  • 1 cup Mexican blend cheese

Liquids

  • 3 tbsp Water

Steps

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • In a medium skillet, cook and brown beef until no longer pink. Drain. Add taco seasoning and water and cook for 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
  • Take pizza dough out of its package and unroll it onto a flat surface. Slightly roll or press the pizza dough out into a rectangle.
  • Add the taco meat evenly on top of the pizza dough. Sprinkle the cheese evenly on top.
  • Starting with the long edge of the pizza dough, roll dough tightly up into a roll. Using a serrated knife, make about 1-inch slices along the roll, making about 18 rolls.
  • Place rolls on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
  • Serve immediately and top with desired toppings.

Easy Cheesy Pizza Dip

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1/4 slices to taste cup Pepperoni

Produce

  • 1/4 tsp Basil, dried
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano, dried

Condiments

  • 1 cup Pizza sauce

Bread & Baked Goods

  • 1 Tortilla chips or 1 loaf of sourdough bread

  • 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, fresh

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix cream cheese, oregano, basil, cheddar cheese and ¾ cup mozzarella cheese.
  3. Spread into a pie pan or casserole dish. Top cream cheese mixture with pizza sauce.
  4. Sprinkle remaining cheeses followed by pepperoni.
  5. Bake 25 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is browned.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips or chopped bread.

Pepperoni Pizza Rolls

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 Pepperoni, slices

Produce

  • 2 large cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Onions, dried
  • 2 tbsp Oregano, dried
  • 1 tbsp Rosemary, dried

Canned Goods

  • 2 cups Evaporated milk

Condiments

  • 1 Pizza sauce
  • 1 (15-ounce) can Tomato sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 Don't like spice
  • 4 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar

Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil, extra-virgin

Dairy

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. To make the sauce, heat the olive oil in a small saucepan and saute the garlic until tender. Add the tomato sauce, oregano, rosemary, onion, sugar, salt and red pepper flakes.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil. Turn down the heat and let the mixture simmer. The longer it simmers, the more the flavors will blend.
  3. To make the dough, place the milk and butter in a small sauce pan and heat until the butter has melted. Remove from the heat and let cool. Sprinkle the yeast over the top of the milk mixture and let sit for several minutes. In a separate bowl, combine ½ cup flour, salt, garlic powder, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.
  4. Stir in the remaining 4 cups of flour to the pot with the milk, butter and yeast. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size. Stir in the flour mixture made in the previous step. Cover again and refrigerate for an hour. (this step is not crucial, but yields a better texture).
  5. When the dough is ready to roll, lightly flour the counter and roll the dough into a rectangle ¼ inch thick. Light spread olive old on top, then a thin layer of the tomato sauce. Sprinkle with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese, a layer of pepperoni, and a bit of freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Roll the dough up tightly, starting from the long end. Cut into 15 slices and place in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Cover and let rise until double in size.
  7. While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown on top and cooked through. Serve warm with more pizza sauce.

  • 1 cup Bacon pieces

  • 1 cup Spinach, frozen

  • 1 1/2 cup Spinach artichoke dip

Baking & Spices

  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper

  • 1 Pre-made refrigerated pizza crust

Dairy

  • 1/2 cup Gruyere or other swiss cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick foil. Set aside.
  2. Roll pizza crust out into large rectangle. Spread artichoke dip on top of crust. Top with spinach, red pepper, bacon and mozzarella cheese. Roll pizza dough up into large log and wrap in plastic wrap. Freeze for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove roll from freezer and slice into 1-2 inch thick slices. Place on prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the top of each piece with shredded Gruyere cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.

  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoni

Produce

  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 Green pepper, large fine
  • 4 oz Mushrooms
  • 1 Onion, small fine

Condiments

  • 2 cups Marinara sauce

Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 Cooking spray
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Bread & Baked Goods

  • 1 package Wonton wrappers

Dairy

  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until hot. Add in the Italian sausage, garlic, green pepper, and onion. Cook until softened, about 6 minutes.
  2. Add in the mushrooms and pepperoni, and cook until the mushrooms have just released their water, about 2 minutes. Stir in the marinara, reduce heat, and simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in the mozzarella, and set aside. Preheat oven to 375°.
  4. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Arrange three wonton wrappers along the bottom edge of the sheet. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into the middle of each wrapper. Using a finger dipped in water, run along the edge of each wrapper and then fold wrapper in half and press down to seal.
  5. Continue until baking sheet is filled with pizza rolls (spaced about 1″ apart). Spray tops with cooking spray and bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until rolls are golden and crispy. Repeat process with remaining wraps and filling.
  6. If pizza rolls are greasy, blot them with paper towels before serving. Let cool 5-10 minutes before serving (filling will be hot).

Pepperoni Pizza Cupcakes

20 mins to make, makes 9 cupcakes

Meat

  • 1 1/2 cups Pepperoni

Condiments

  • 3/4 cup Pizza sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 1 cup Red pepper

Bread & Baked Goods

  • 18 Wonton wrappers, small

Dairy

  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine pepperoni, pepper and pizza sauce in a bowl.
  3. Lay one wonton wrapper in the bottom of 9 holes (but really, what do you call those things??). Press the wrapper in right to the edges so that it sticks to the non-stick spray.
  4. Place about 1 tbsp of filling in the bottom of each wrapper, spreading filling to cover the bottom. You want to use half of your filling this time around.
  5. Place another wonton wrapper on top of your filling (on all 9 cupcakes), staggering the edges so that they don't overlap your first wonton (this is not a big deal, but I like to put the second wonton in slightly different direction to get more crunchy edges). Press the second wonton wrapper down onto the filling gently and up the sides of the pan.
  6. Place about 1 tbsp filling on top of your second wonton wrapper, spreading evenly across the top. Divide all of your filling among the remaining cupcakes.
  7. Top with cheese and bake about 15 minutes until edges are golden and cheese is bubbly. Let cool slightly before eating.

Homemade Pepperoni Pizza Rolls

Makes 24-28

Ingredients

Meat

  • 5 oz Pepperoni

Condiments

  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 1/2 cups Pizza sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 1/4 cup Cornmeal
  • 3 1/2 cups Flour
  • 4 tsp Instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt

Oils & Vinegars

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Dairy

  • 8 oz Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Liquids

  • 1 1/2 cups Water

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Spray 8 regular muffin cups with cooking spray. Cut crescent roll dough into 8 squares. Press into muffin cups.
  • Sprinkle some of cheese (about 1 Tbsp) in the bottom of each muffin cup. Top with 1 Tbsp of pizza sauce. Add remaining cheese and top with pizza toppings. Sprinkle garlic powder over toppings.
  • Bake 15-18 minutes. Remove from pan and serve immediately.


Barbecue Chicken Pizza Pinwheels

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 cup Chicken, cooked

Produce

  • 1 tbsp Cilantro
  • 1/4 cup Red onion

Condiments

  • 1/4 cup Your favorite barbecue sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 1 can Crescents or pizza dough, Refrigerated

Dairy

  • 3/4 cup Cheddar-jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  2. Lightly flour a large wooden cutting board. Roll out dough onto the floured surface, pressing seems together as you go.
  3. Spread barbecue sauce evenly over the dough, to the edges.
  4. Top with shredded cheese, chicken, onions and cilantro.
  5. Roll pizza and seal the and slice into 1 inch pieces. *Roll width-wise (the longest side) for smaller pinwheels, and length-wise (the shortest side) for larger pinwheels.
  6. Place pinwheels on the prepared cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for about 9-11 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes then serve with barbecue ranch dipping sauce (1 part bottled barbecue sauce, 1 part bottled ranch dressing).
