I have to agree with classicalgeek, chili is amazing cold weather food! Although the potato soup and cornbread sounds pretty yummy too!

Chili. No doubt about it.
Gumbo, red beans and rice, beef stew and chili, of course.
I definitely agree with chili . . .and also a nice hot, hearty and chunky soup!
I like homemade chili and saltines w/ butter. Warms the body and the soul...
tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich
Awesome that chili seems to be the answer. I agree with chili and cornbread. A nice SPICY chili with a SWEET cornbread is right up my alley...
I have a few favorites like potato soup or spaghetti. However, my favorite is chicken and wild rice soup. It has the density of a potatoe soup and is absolutely terrific.
I like different things on cold days. Home made vegetable beef soup with cornbread, homemade chili with cornbread, pinto beans and fried potatoes with cornbread.
Your choice sounds yummy, I woudn't mind it at all. Can I join? :)
I could add may be carrots to the potato and some butter to cornbread.
And make green tea afterwards.
