I notice how much each item varies in sodium content so it's so important to check.Even marinara sauce,beans and salsa really vary from brand to brand so find the best one. Trader Joe's has a marinara with no sodium.

Try a vegetarian cookbook for really healthy and unique dishes with lots of variety.
Also frequent your farmers market and do more fresh veggies and fruits and less canned. Frozen is a good second to fresh. Canned usually has lots of sodium.
