We like 'bubble and squeak'. It's an English favorite, usually made after the Sunday lunch roast meat lunch.
Its made with cabbage left overs (or sprouts) and potato left overs.
You mix them up and bind them with an egg, some white pepper.
In a frying pan you heat some fat from the roast, or butter, and you put the cabbage and potato mix in to fry crispy and brown on both sides!
It is to die for.
Next time you make a roast meal, make extra of the two so you can make bubble and squeak.
It's fantastic with a couple of fried eggs on top. Yes, and ketchup.
