Perhaps, the real answer is to let management know how you feel. However, one person's voice may go unnoticied, a chorus is hard to ignore. Find like-minded people in your circles and start a campaign. It could be by email, twitter, or perhaps maybe even consider creating a facebook group that focuses on a particular store. It would take a little work and creativity, (and perhaps someone with the store manager's email address) you can make your VOICE loud, clear and decisive. I know that in this economy, most stores have had to cut back. However, what they fail to realize, is that they are truly shooting their ownselves in the proverbial foot. They faster they get customers through, the less customers that will leave because of the business (I have seen cars whip right back out of the store's parking lot with nothing to show for), and its obvious they will make less money this way. I am not saying they have to have an employee for ever register, but two or three more would make a difference. Perhaps maybe an incentive program for getting people through the line faster would be novel as well.
