If you're going for a traditional MD (Maryland) style meal, we usually eat fries and cole slaw with our crab cakes. :)

I agree with kittythedreamer...fries and coleslaw. Sometimes I substitute the fries with grilled asparagus or grilled pineapple.
I like mac and cheese with my crab cakes, and being from the south I also like cornbread with them.
Seasoned french fries is always a good option. . .coleslaw is a great side. . . broccoli or a nice vegetable mix drizzled with garlic and butter. . .or a tangy, semi-sweet dipping sauce.
