I love Chinese food, but am trying to save money. Does anyone know of an easy recipe for making brown sauce (like the kind that goes on beef and broccoli) that tastes just like the restaurant?

Wow, that's a lot more ingredients than I was expecting. I will try it though, thanks!
To clarify -- the only ingredients for the brown sauce are: soy sauce, brown sugar, chicken broth, cornstarch OR rice flour, habanero pepper, vegetable oil, garlic cloves. I should have split up the ingredients into 1) brown sauce and 2) chow mein.
