Vegetarian Pasta is fast, easy, and filling. Just get a box of pasta, some of vegetarian kind. Boil it for about 12 min. Warm a canned tomato sauce in a pan, add green olives, onions-diced, and sliced mushrooms. Pasta may be served with homemade garlic bread. Garlic bread is made by slicing french bread, brushing with melted butter, and topping with garlic salt. Put Garlic Bread in oven at 350 for about ten minutes, while your pasta and sauce are cooking. This is a fast and easy recipe I use often. Adding your own Italian seasoning makes it great! I also would serve Italian blend coffee as a dinner drink.
For desert, some people like nonlactate ice cream. I prefer Moose Tracks, or a similar rocky road, and some whipped topping. Yogurt is also good for dessert and comes in a variety of flavors which may accomodate guests. Chocolate may be a little decadent for some vegetarians, but carob brownies are an excellent treat, and fairly easy to make from scratch. Many natural spices, seasonings, and flavorings can be obtained at your local health food store or co-op grocery. Some neighborhood grocers have recipes in the store.
