   How would you build the perfect sandwich?
   
   What ingredients would you choose in order to build the perfect sandwich?  I'm
   looking to give our sandwiches a variety and would love some suggestions.
   
   Choose one type of bread, one cold cut, one type of cheese and one veggie.

   Here's my list of ingredients in order of application:
   
   2 slices Udi's gluten-free sandwich bread
   
   Quality mayonnaise on one slice of bread
   
   Trader Joe's non-dairy cream cheese mixed with parsley flakes on the other slice
   
   Thinly sliced pieces of Applegate Farms ham and (not or) turkey
   
   A variety of lettuces, not just one kind
   
   Sorry this isn't just a "one of each kind" ingredient's list, but I had to choose the perfect sandwich option or the directions option.

      Sounds delicious, I've never tried the cream cheese with parsley.  I'll have to look into buying some.  Thank you.

   Farmhouse cottage white loaf crusts, thick slices of mature cheddar cheese, smoked thin sliced ham, apple and cranberry pickle. Enjoy.
   
   You may want to check a hub I wrote! But be careful, some of the fillers border on the dangerous!

   A slice of cheese between two slices of bread.
   Over here in the UK, we have had some USA programme on the telly called - 'America's best Sandwich',  Some bloke travels around various states of the USA, testing disgustig layers of salt and fat, shoved together  in an overstuffed sticky goo and then witters on in an over enthusiastic manner at how wonderful a particular mess is.

      Oh, forgot, saltless butter on the bread, perhaps a slice or two of tomato, or salad leaves, or raw onion, or a smear of pickle or chutney, nothing to overpower the flavour of the cheese and bread.

   I love po-boys and there  are many way to put them together.. shrimp, sausage, oyster Spicy, dressed, and yummy .you can use fresh lettuce or even spinach one of my wife's favorite is a shrimp po-boy with cheese with a shrimp cocktail gravy. One good thing about the po-boy is it can done with any kind of meat or seafood because it that french bread that's makes the sandwich

   rye bread, lean corned beef, swiss cheese and sauerkraut....the classic reubin!!
   Add some russian dressing (and I like a dab of mustard too) and voila!
   Take two slices of bread and butter one side of each. Set one slice, butter side down, on a griddle and generously spread it with russian dressing (I also add a very thin layer of mustard), add cheese, pile high with corned beef, top with sauerkraut and other slice of bread, butter side out. Heat griddle on medium high and when lightly toasted, carefully flip the sandwich and brown other side. It's yummy!!!

      Thank you, I'm going to have to make one of these this year.  My husband loves rye bread so this is a perfect combination.

      p.s. it helps to use a spatula and flatten the sandwich a bit as it cooks....then it's not such a big mouthful! Hannaford's supermarket has the recipe on it's webite. enjoy!
