There are a few really important reasons to go organic. Did you know that a poison developed in World War 1 (organophosphates) is now used as a pesticide? Also these pesticides they use on plants have been found to lower the amount of vitamin C and Iron in plants. Researchers have found that the posion that is in genetically-modified seeds continues to produce once inside of us.
Organic farming IS the original farming.
It's more expensive because it takes more work. I encourage you when spring comes to your area plant yourself a couple of plants and don't use any chemicals on them. You will see that it's more work, and you'll get the benefits of growing your own food. We plant around 200 plants a year and never use one drop of chemicals. It takes a lot of work to keep the bugs from eating our plants.
