My own fast food horror story consists of my driving 10 miles to get a combo meal at Wendy's.
When sat down to enjoy my chicken sandwich, but my second bite told me something was terribly wrong. The hard, metallic taste was a giveaway, plus it chipped a tooth in the process.
When I spit out the food, I discovered that someone had inserted a metal ring or washer into it (or it accidentally fell in).
It was bad enough to have a foreign object in my food without the added insult of a chipped tooth.
I called and spoke to the manager ,who was no help at all. The company required dental records, police reports and proof that I had some injury.
I decided to warn everyone I knew. That happened was 15 years ago and If the message boards were around, I would have reported them.
Now I open all food and inspect. I do love Wendys food and don't blame them for some jerks' actions.
