Visit yummly.com they have a bunch of easy healthy recipes for meat eaters and vegetarians.
Focusing more on whole foods can be a challenge. If you want to eat fried chicken it is healthier to make it yourself than to get a box from the chicken joint.
I suggest going to the grocery store at the start of the week (Sunday/Monday)
1. but your meat- chicken, ground turkey, etc. Freeze and take out the night before to thaw for the next day.
2. Get fresh veggies if you plan to cook them within the first two days, otherwise get frozen.
3. Buy fresh and frozen fruit. Fruit is a healthy snack and won't spoil your healthy dinner. Frozen fruit is good go a breakfast smoothie if you don't have time to cook in the morning.
Now that you have the food, just piece it together, If you make baked chicken, you can bake a potato and steam frozen broccoli.
You can make a tender bean stew with a crock-pot on low. Cooks while you're away! When you get home make rice or cous cous (cooks faster than rice) and have a salad on the side.
And when you don't feel like cooking, eat leftovers or commit to make a healthy choice for take out.. or make a smoothie to keep it light and healthy. Hope this helps!
