I ate grapes for breakfast and then got a really bad stomach ache. Why?

    That could be it. Sometimes, the same thing happens to me when I eat apples.

    You've added the best answer here. Some fruits (lots of them) are "harsh" on the digestive system (like grapes). Some are "milder" (like bananas). I don't think too many people could comfortably tolerate grapes on an empty stomach in the morning.

    I don't know about that. I have a high-in-fiber diet since I'm a vegetarian; so I think my system is pretty used to the increased fiber intake.
