Do you prefer chicken breasts or chicken thighs?

Let's face it everyone loves breasts, but when it comes to that fat that lies on the thighs, most of us can't help ourselves. So which do you prefer, chicken breasts or chicken thighs? (I'm talking about food and cooking here people).

I prefer thighs and dark meat. People whom eat with my family like breast and white meat so it evens out.

Unfortunately, I am not a huge chicken fan but I really only like either the wings or the breast meat. My husband like the chicken thighs the best.

I like the chicken thighs.  The extra fat there makes it taste better than the dry breast meat.  And I don't think the natural chicken fat is all that bad.  There are worst things to eat, such as sugar.

I prefer the breasts. I have never liked the taste of the thighs. That goes for turkey as well.

I'm considered a thigh fan, but every time I get a breast piece, I just tell myself it's a healthier alternative smile

I like chicken thighs they taste better and the wings as well. The chicken breast taste bland to me unless it is spiced up with different ingredients then they taste okay.

I prefer breasts. I am one of those few people who actually don't like the fat on chicken. I don't usually even eat the skin! But thighs are definitely my next choice, compared to legs or other body parts. I like that it has a lot of meat on it.
My goodness, Jami, you have a perfect 100 score! That's awesome.

My score has been at 100 for three days now! Thanks, it is pretty awesome! I can't believe you don't like the fat or the skin, I have never heard anyone say that before, haha.

Haha, I know, I'm weird in that respect! It's grossed me out ever since I was a kid. Although there have been exceptions. My brother makes an awesome chicken, and the skin is fantastic on his!

I used to be a breast man, but in recent years I've been eating thighs more often. I prefer dark meat, but realize white meat is the healthier choice.

I used to prefer chicken breasts, but in recent years I've switched to thighs. I think the change happened because of an Asian dish I began to make. It's pasta-based and has chunks of chicken, a gingery-garlicky sauce and lots of fresh veggies. I found chicken breasts to be a little dry in the dish. But when I tried boneless thighs, I realized they were the key to the moistness and flavor of the Asian pasta. Now I prefer chicken thighs in many recipes. Even my breast-loving hubby agrees! :   )

great idea to try it with the thighs. I have found when when using breasts you can inject them with a cajun butter flavor injectable marinade or other flavor of your choice. I have also used canned white meat chicken breast in a dish as well.

I prefer the white meat. I try to eat clean and the breast is leaner. It's also a great protein source. To keep the breast from being too dry, I always marinate it in olive oil. That way you can grill, bake, or pan fry it and it'll remain juicy and tender.

It depends on how I am preparing them, but overall I like the breast meat better. I like the taste and consistency.  I do like to buy boneless thighs  because they are considerably cheaper in the grocery store.

I absolutely prefer chicken breasts. I like the flavor of the white meat much better. I do eat thighs and leg quarters as well they are just not my favorite. Here are a couple of hubs I have written with chicken recipes if anyone is interested. I would really love some feedback on them so I thought a reader on this question or you may be interested.

Chicken breast, I don't seem to be able to find as many uses for the chicken thighs. I know there are many but if you knew the pickiness of my husband then you would understand how hard it is to find some way to cook the thighs for him to eat.

Chicken breasts show up more in my cooking, but I find the thighs to be more moist and delicious in certain recipes. I like to glaze them w/ honey, soy, and seasoned salt then serve them w/ carrots and broccoli and rice.
