I thumb through recipe after recipe and it all is the same to me. I'm bored of American food and all ethnic food seems redundant too. How do I spice it up with out adding the spicy?

Yes! I have wanted to do the raw food thing (In love with welikeitraw.com!), But in general, I really enjoy warm food. And I completely agree with everything you're saying! :)

I"m generally pretty good with making my own stuff up. I went through a phase for the first 5 years of my adult life of just dating chefs (I highly recommend it!) and learned a little bit about throwing stuff together. I think I'm bored of the store

I do surf the internet for recipes, but it's always the kind of American dishes I have to wade through. I used to sit for hours writing recipes on index cards online!
Change your search query to include something like Asian or another to eliminate many of the American returns
mmmm gator! I wish we had a supplier for that. We're pretty far from the south, I don't know where I'd get that. But you're right, I'll give something super new and unusual a go!
