Why do some cooks squeeze seeds from tomatoes before cooking?


I love watching Rachel Ray cook but she is forever squeezing the seeds from tomatoes and the pulp goes with it. Isn't this like the best tasting part of the tomato? Why do people do that?

    Well she just squeezes the seeds out and of course all the juicy pulp around them would be removed too. Thank you, though it still has me wondering. lol

    Those are my thoughts exactly, why would anyone throw out the best part? Been a good while but as a kid I took a shaker to the garden many times. No tough skins back then!
