Do you have an unusual, but favorite, food you love to eat with potato chips?

My favorite combination with potato chips would be: Pretzels!  Love to eat both pretzels and chips together. They make a good pair.  Are there any favorite foods you love to combine with chips that just makes you happy?

Specifically if I have a hankering or urge for potato chips specifically it is usually without accompaniment of anything. Chips are secondary for me in general following something else including a good ranch, french onion, or salsa dip. I usually have a desire for something and chips are the accompaniment. With a pause I usually when I have 'potato chips' alone it is because I have a hankering, need, desire for salt.

Yes me too - most of the time I will have chips by themselves because I want something salty and crunchy.

I like to put sour cream and onion potato chips on a turkey sandwich!  A friend of mine did it about 30 years ago and I tried it - delicious!  Sounds crazy but you have to try it!

Wow that sounds like it would add a real pop to the turkey sandwich. Thanks for sharing.

I don't do it often but I sometimes put potato chips on a deli sandwich-mostly turkey breast.

Not really, but back when I was in junior high school, it was quite the 'trend' to put your potato chips into your sandwich... ;-)

Now that you mention it, I love chips with a sandwich - crumbing a few chips would be much less calories than eating them out of a bag LOL! Thanks for your comments

Chip (hot)dogs and chip (ham)burgers! Most especially when the burger or hot dog has been cooked on a grill on a summer day, I must crumble chips on top!

With the hot dog you gently push the chips down into the bun on both sides and then squeeze them together around the hog dog. With a burger, again gently laying the chips and then quickly pressing the bun down to just crunch them in place. Makes the eating much easier!

Potato chips are good dipped in ice cream or in bologna sandwiches. French fries are good dipped in ice cream too...chocolate ice cream.  I think it is the combination of sweet and salty that does it...for me at least.

I like to eat plain potato chips with cottage cheese that has fresh pineapple or strawberries in it.

That sounds very interesting. Kind of like salty from the chips and cottage cheese, and then some sweet with the fruit. Thanks for your commenting.
