What is your secret to the best pesto? Do you use pine nuts?

No secret ingredient but I use basil, olive oil, walnut, garlic, cheese and salt. For me this recipe always works well.

Patsy Bell Hobson, I have no secret ingredient, but apart from fresh basil and some fine olive oil, whatever one puts in is a variation.
Pine nuts give it a lovely bite, and some parmesan cheese, give it a sharp flavor. Sea salt, fresh pepper and a twist of lemon, complete the task.
I have never known it to fail to please!
