2 tablespoons water or rich chicken stock
Po lo ku mushroom seasoning (optional, but leaves a good flavor. Can be found in asian supermarkets)
1 teaspoon shaoxing rice wine
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 teaspoon chicken powder (not necessary if using chicken stock)
1 tablespoon oyster sauce.
1 teaspoon sesame oil.
This one works really well.
For a more spicy sauce:
3 tablespoons chicken stock
1 teaspoon Lee kum kee chili garlic paste.
2 teaspoon soy sauce
2 teaspoon white sugar
a bit of corn starch and water slurry (1 tablespoon each of corn starch and water mixed together). Add slurry little by little while sauce is boiling, until you get the desired consistency.
