You can grind up flax seeds in a small grinder then use in baking muffins or bread, use in smoothies, sprinkle on hot and or cold breakfast cereal, etc.
I take flaxseed oil as a supplement instead of fish oil as I'm a vegetarian.
Flaxseed oil is the same as linseed oil - which is used to polish wood.
My friend makes flaxseed tea from ground flaxseed for his gall bladder pain (this has worked well!)
