I have my own recipe and a food dehydrator, but when the 7 hours required time was up, the jerky was too dry..please help...

i'll have to see what kind of answers you get on here because the same thing sometimes happens to me. i wish i could help you out but i have no idea what to do that won't ruin the flavor.

Package the jerky and when ready to eat it, hydrate it by wrapping it in a wet paper towel for a few minutes before eating it.
