Apple Oatmeal Bake - Vegan

This is an easy dessert which is sugar free. This is a vegan dessert which is healthier than most. Many of us like the taste of apple pie. Apple pie is high in fat and sugar. This is a lot of unwanted calories. This simple dessert is an alternative which we can eat guilt free. This is much more satisfying and health conscious option.

  • Cook time: 40 min

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 1 cup of oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • a pinch of nutmeg
  • a pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut apples into 4 pieces.
  3. Remove seeds, but leave the skins on.
  4. Grease baking sheet.
  5. Evenly distribute oatmeal on baking sheet.
  6. Put apple quarters on top of the oatmeal.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven.
  9. Dab the apple slices with honey.
  10. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  11. Add half a cup of water.
  12. Bake for 15 minutes.
  13. Broil for last 5 minutes
