Artisan Tea Blending Kit for Health and Enjoyment

Updated on November 30, 2013

As a work-at-home guy, I am usually cooped up in my home office for hours on end and to keep me hydrated, I try to drink as much liquid as possible throughout the day. Until a few years ago, I started the day with coffee and then had a couple more cups throughout the day. For most people, 3 cups of coffee per day is nothing and I'm sure many people indulge in a bit more. However when I read somewhere that coffee sometimes trigger panic attacks ( I've been having them for 7 years ) , I decided to stop drinking it. Instead I turned to tea.

Since I started drinking tea, I don't get the jitters anymore.

These days I usually start my mornings with a cup of hot green tea. During the summer, I also make sure to prepare a pitcher of iced tea. Oh the other hand, in the colder months, I turn to steaming mugs of hot herbal or green teas. Herbal teas can be extremely calming to the nerves and for people who have stressful lives, or those who suffer from panic attacks or anxiety problems like myself, can surely benefit. Not only that, teas also include antioxidants that are beneficial for your health.

Artisan Tea Blending Kit

This complete tea kit lets you mix and match to make your own original blend using 10 organic teas, herbs, flowers and spices including antioxidant rich green tea and rooibos and relaxing herbs such as lemongrass and orange peel. One of my go-to blends for winter is to mix rooibos with ginger. Have a cup of this and you'll feel your body warm up from the inside out. I'm serious! It works for me every winter and without this concoction I would probably freeze to death! For a refreshig pick-me-up, I suggest mixing green tea with some mint or lemongrass. It's healthy and delicious. The Artisan Tea Blending Kit also comes with a recipe book, 20 tea sacks and a glass teapot making it the perfect gift for tea lovers or anyone on your gift list.

The first time I had Tea Forte tea, it was at the Trump Hotel in Honolulu. It was amazing in that it was hard to believe there was no sugar in it because it had a natural sweetness to it. I've been a fan ever since.

I usually drink just regular green tea or a mint or lemon blend. I like the sound of the more exotic combinations that you mentioned. Let's see... my birthday is coming up in a few months. I just might have to put this kit on my wish list!

@ecogranny: I so miss visiting San Francisco. I recently purchased myself a guidebook for San Francisco as I am thinking about going again in the near future. I love the city.

I love my morning cups of coffee (two), but my favorite beverage, and the one I choose more than any other, is plain water. I am fortunate to live in San Francisco, where we get fresh alpine water from the Sierras. It is delicious. In fact, I start the day with one or two cups of hot water, before I indulge in my sugar- and milk-laced coffee, which I think of as liquid candy. In the evenings, often as not, I like another cup of hot water, but quite often I enjoy a cup of tea. My favorite is Mighty Leaf Organic Mint Melange, but I also love Rishi Organic Green Tea Mint.

The Numi Organic Flowering Tea Set you mentioned above is another favorite, and one I have gifted to special friends. It is lovely.

@DLeighAlexander: Ohh that sounds wonderful. Here in Japan it's difficult to find green tea that's flavored with other ingredients. :(

I have a cup of green tea everyday; my favorite flavor is coconut passionfruit. But I also like several other kinds as well.

Although I always choose coffee I actually prefer tea (a bit like a chocolate bar v and orange!). Great idea to do your own blending - I never thought of it.

I really appreciate so many different teas. This time of year I love spiced teas. Chai is perhaps my favorite hot tea drink. It transports me to exotic places.

I absolutely love Japanese tea. I bought this Melon Oolong tea a month ago. Still waiting to share it with my loved one. Can't wait to do that some time!

I also love fruit tea, mixed with honey you've got some really natural and healthy beverage! On top of that, it's totally yummy.
