  • 1/2 cup of corn starch
  • 1/3 cup of canola oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  2. I boil the skinless, boneless chicken breasts in a pot of water until cooked.
  3. Then I take the broth from the chicken water and put it in a mixing bowl and put in the sugar, ketchup, and vinegar and mix it well until it is stirred well.
  4. I then drain the chicken in a strainer and set it aside for now.
  5. I then take a freezer bag and put in the cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and put the chicken in and shake it up real good.
  6. I place them in a skillet of oil and fry them until they are crispy and golden brown.
  7. Then I place them in a casserole dish and pour the sauce covering all the chicken.
  8. I put it in the oven for 30 minutes and turn them every 15 minutes until you see the sauce bubbling and smelling good.
  9. You can serve it with noodles, rice, mashed potatoes, or anything that you think that will go good with the chicken dinner. Then sit down and enjoy the great chicken dinner.

The very best S&S dishes have the thinnest possible coating on the meat, enough to lock in the moisture of the meat but not too thick to feel like you are chomping into a sandwich each time you take a bite. Too bready means you lose mos of the flavour of the meat.
