Best Cooling Racks for Baking

Updated on August 27, 2015

Find The Best Selling Cooling Racks Online Right Here!

The Top 8 Most Popluar Cooling Racks for baking on Amazon.com.

I love to bake, and I know that how your cookies, cake, etc. turn out depends both on the person baking, and the tools and ingredients that are used.

I always try to find the best value for my money, and typically will seek the reviews and opinions of others before I purchase anything.

I recently attended a bridal shower and bought the bride-to-be the cooling racks she had on her registry. This made me jealous, since they were really nice, and I went in search of new cooling racks for myself.

That's where this lens was born. Here I'm going to share with you what I found about various cooling racks I was interested in purchasing.

Flat vs. Tiered

I recently discovered that there are now tiered cooling racks!

I think these are great, because they take up less of your counter space.

The con is that while most do collapse for storage, they still do take up more cabinet space than the regular flat cooling racks.

My personal opinion is I'd rather have the counter space while baking. In my current apartment there is one counter that is 4 feet wide, so I need all of the space I can get!

The Great Debate - Flat vs. Tiered

Do you prefer flat or tiered cooling racks?

#1 Most Popular Cooling Racks on Amazon - Also the racks I have in my kitchen!

The Wilton 2105-459 Excelle Elite 3-Tier Cooling Rack is great!

Just looking at the numbers it's a winner. They have 140 customer reviews on Amazon, and overall have a 4 1/2 star rating!

I also happen to own these very racks, and I can say I really love them. I was still using the old, really flat racks from 20 years ago, and they were barely raised off the counter at all, and weren't non-stick.

These Wilton racks have a non-stick surface, they have collapsible legs on each end, measure 15-7/8 by 9-7/8 inches, are raised about 2 inches off the counter (and each other) and are dishwasher safe!

They also come with a 10 year warranty, and are a great price. They are listed at $19.99 but Amazon.com has them for $10.51 and they are eligible fore free super saver shipping.

I use them all the time and am always so happy that I decided to buy them. They're perfect for when I bake up a large batch of cookies; I can have them all cooling at the same time while not taking up a ton of counter space.
