Highest quality espresso pods - a division of Nestle
Nespresso is a division of the Nestle Company that specializes in their own line of espresso machines and capsules. These convenient capsules contain fresh ground espresso that can only be used with Nespresso machines.
With the click of a button, fresh espresso for your cappuccino, lattes, or other espresso based drinks can be brewed up in an instant. No more fussing around with messy grinds, packing the carafe, and waiting for the machine. Nespresso makes espresso easy!
The quality of the pods, the actual coffee, that is, is actually very good. Each brewed capsule has a wonderful crema, just like an ordinary espresso shot. The capsules come in a variety of strengths and flavors. Seasonally, they will sometimes offer flavored Nespresso. All year round, at least 12, usually more, flavors/brews are available, including decaf.
Nespresso Coffee Makers - Well reviewed machines and best sellers - DeLonghi and more
Nespresso coffee makers come in a variety of styles based on physical appearance and also your personal use. The DeLonghi Nespresso machines - Nespresso's partnership with DeLonghi, a well known Italian small appliance manufacturer - are a classic coffee maker that will serve up an incredible espresso.
Why It's a Great Automatic Espresso Machine
High quality espresso makers are their sole focus
If you're thinking you're going to be sacrificing a great deal of taste in getting an automatic espresso machine, worry not. Nespresso machines are top of the line, and have been especially engineered to replicate the taste of a freshly brewed shot of espresso without the mess. After all, each capsule of Nespresso coffee is vacuum packed with fresh espresso and brewed up instantly, so it actually is true, real espresso that you are drinking.
Besides the fact that the coffee tastes great, there are a number of other reasons why Nespresso machines are a great choice to own:
- You can make hot water with the steaming wand
- Espresso only takes seconds to brew - brew up many shots one after another in just a couple of minutes (this saves considerable time versus standard machines)
- You won't have to grind espresso beans - the work has been done for you
- Steaming wand also makes steamed milk for hot chocolates, cappuccinos, lattes, or other espresso drinks
- Easy to clean - self cleaning with the touch of a button (though you'll have to order the cleaning kit, a small price for convenience!)
- Extra capsules can ordered with the click of a mouse. Order them online from their website. You can save past orders so you can reorder with just a click, or set up automatic deliveries.
- Innovative machines like the D90, Lattissima, and the Pixie
Nespresso D90 Single Serve Espresso Machine - Brew a single cup with this highly rated coffee maker
Before the advent of the almighty Nespresso maker, there was a long process to serving up a decent cup of espresso. First, good luck finding a good tasting espresso blend. Then, grind it, pack it, keep the machine clean, brew it just right, and serve it up. If you can manage to get that right, it's good, but not many people have the time, patience, or luxury to do so.
Nespresso has filled that void with this single serve maker, the D90. It's also a sleek little appliance that will fit into any small corner or nook of your kitchen, though you'll probably want to proudly display it front and center. More about the machine:

As one of the most popular espresso machines on the market, Nespresso has a clear advantage in quality over the competition. They specialize in espresso only, and haven't compromised quality in their machines.
What Can You Make with Nespresso?
Espresso based drinks and treats
Nespresso isn't just for making a straight forward shot of espresso. You can make a variety of flavored lattes, cappuccinos, or iced espresso drinks. The official Nespresso Magazine, which is shipped to you after you place your first order, contains recipes for espresso based foods and drinks using their own machines. These range from delicious desserts to irresistible drinks to icy blends. You can also try out the replica Starbucks latte recipes and drinks on this page.

What Are Nespresso Coffee Pods?
More than just a convenient little coffee pod -- it's high quality coffee!
Nespresso coffee pods are capsules that fit into Nespresso machines. The concept is simple, and you may have heard of a similar process with the Keurig machines (though you cannot use Keurig in Nespresso and vice versa). Like the K-cups, you'll simply buy the new pods/capsules when you run out of coffee.
How does the taste compare to regular espresso? Virtually identical, and the convenience factor and range of capsules (varieties of espresso) are well worth it.
The typical Nespresso machine will last, just like a normal coffee maker, around 5-10 years. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I've had mine since 2006 and have had no problems, though the first one I had for two years. Since that time, the quality of the machines have drastically improved, as have online reviews of Nespresso coffee makers.
Where to Buy Nespresso Capsules
How to restock -- manual or automatic shipments
There are two different places to buy Nespresso capsules online. First, you can order from the official website. Second, you can order them on Ebay if available. The first option will come directly from the manufacturer, and is where I personally buy my own capsules. However, I have purchased capsules on Ebay from independent sellers offering rare varieties that often sell out quickly. Keep this in mind if you want to find a specific type of Nespresso like the seasonal vanilla or other special clubs.
The core group of capsules they offer are known as the "Grand Crus." Depending on your tastes, they have developed a line of coffees with different characteristics and aromas. When the specialty coffees become available, act fast, because they really sell out in a matter of days or less!
Another great thing about Nespresso is that they can automatically send it to your home based on how often you drink it. If you're a big drinker, you can set yourself up to receive automatic shipments of capsules on a certain basis - say monthly. I personally stock up on them, and keep them in a cool, dry closet in the kitchen. I reorder every few months and have them all on stock, ready to use.

Shipped right to your front door, here are some hard to find capsules and accessories courtesy of Ebay:
Aeroccino Plus - Steam milk to perfection for lattes, cappuccinos, or hot chocolate
Some people prefer to use the Aeroccino as opposed to the steam wand that comes with the espresso machines. The reason? It's easier to use the Aeroccino. While you're brewing your espresso, you can plug in the Aeroccino, put in the right amount of milk, and have it all ready at the same time. It's also much quieter than the Nespresso machine steam wand, and provides a perfect, frothy steam every single time.
Easily and quickly froth milk to perfectionAutomatic shut-off, very little mess to clean upCleans quickly with a paper towel or moist ragSaves time, and makes cappuccinos and lattes much tastier EVERY timeHighly rated and embraced by the coffee drinking community with an impeccable 4.5 star rating
Official Nespresso Accessories: - Storage racks and towers to store away capsules
Those capsules will take over your kitchen if you're not careful. The right storage solution will have them tidied up in no time, and actually looking like a nice display piece in your home.
Another Recommended Machine:
Lattissima espresso maker
If you're looking for high end, the Lattissima espresso maker is a great choice that's convenient and stylish. While it's on the pricier end of Nespresso makers, it really performs and looks great. Two unique features of this espresso machine:
- A milk container that will help you save time and prevent mess. It can be put back in the fridge after use, and will help you to steam the ultimate cappuccino or latte.
- Automatic capsule ejection. I usually leave my capsules in the holder, and it has got stained over time. This one gets rid of it for you, so that's one less step for you.
As you can see by the appearance, it would look really nice on virtually any kitchen countertop. You can read more about the Lattissima on my review page.
Espresso Accessories - Spoons, shots, pitchers, and espresso making essentials for a better shot
You can't have a great cup of coffee without the right equipment. Simply served into a big coffee mug, your espresso isn't going to taste at its best. The glass shots below will enhance the flavor and bring out the aroma of the wonderful crema that is produced from each shot of Nespresso. Also, you'll want to have the proper mixing spoons for sugar or syrups, as well as the right frothing pitcher.
