Pairing Red Wine & Cheese

Cheese and wine go together like peanut butter and jelly, like Oreos and milk,

like ice cream and apple pie. The only difference is that you need to pair the

right wine with the right cheese. There's no hard rules when it comes to pairing wine and cheese because everyone's taste's are different. However, you want

to try to pair strong cheeses with strong wines and mellow cheeses with mellow wines. After all, if you were to pair a strong cheese like Danish Blue cheese

with a light flavored Merlot, the cheese would overpower the wine, thus

depriving you of a wonderful flavor sensation.

I encourage you to go out and experiment with different cheeses and wines.

In the meantime, here are some websites to help you figure out the best red

wine pairings with cheese.
