NV Bravium Winery White Wedding Proprietary White Wine

This wine is very light and fruity with just a hint of smoke. It goes down smooth and has no lingering aftertaste. This wine is perfect when paired with tangy or zesty foods (in other words, food that usually overwhelms the taste of other wines). The strong acidity helps cut through the strong flavor of the food so you get to enjoy your entire taste experience! Sauvignon Blanc tastes best when served at 52°.

2011 C.G. Di Arie Flagship Wines Sauvignon Blanc

This Sauvignon Blanc is very light and has a crisp fruity taste with slight citrus undertones. It's lacking the usual grassy/smoky flavor that's usually so pronounced in Sauv Blanc's. While the acidity of this wine can calm the intense flavor of tangy foods, that same acidity can also be used to intensify the flavor of fish. For the best taste, drink this wine at 52°.

Recipes To Pair With This Sauvignon Blanc

Pan Seared Honey Glazed Salmon with Browned Butter Lime SauceRather than grilling it I pan seared it, obviously. I wanted a tiny bit of sweet to balance out the citrus-y tang so I added honey, and what better way to get that perfectly golden brown, crisp crust then to.....

This Gewürztraminer is very aromatic with a strong sweet juicy flavor paired with firm spicy undertones. It's sweet and spicy flavor makes it very diverse when pairing. 2011 Woodstock Chardonnay Mendocino County

The fresh fruity flavors of this semi-sweet chardonnay are surprisingly strong and leave a pleasant aftertaste. This Chardonnay is extra dry, so it's best complimented with fatty seafoods and poultry, especially those made with a rich creamy sauce. Chardonnay tastes best when served at 48°.

Recipes To Pair With This Chardonnay

It's best served at a temperature of 47°.

2010 Anaba Landa Vineyard Viognier White Wine

This viognier pairs a creamy texture with a bold refreshing fruit flavor. It can be paired with pastas, nuts and fish, although it's said to compliment shellfish the most. Avoid any dishes with a vinegar or lemon base and whatever you do, never pair this wine with a spicy meal. The high alcohol content will be like adding fuel to the fire (in your mouth). You'll want to drink this wine as young as you can get it, and serve it at 52°.

Pairing White Wine & Cheese

It's easier to pair white wine and cheese than it is to pair red wine and cheese. Lack of tannins, a higher acidity level and it's lighter taste give it a leg up in the world of wine and cheese pairings. Basically, what you need to do is to pair like with like. A creamy light flavored cheese needs to be paired with a lighter white wine. While harder, stronger cheese needs to be paired with stronger white wine. Here's a few helpful websites that'll guide you through the process of wine pairing.

Some White Wine Pairing Tips

My Favorite Pairing

I'm a big fan of local wineries and luckily, I happen to live just 45 minutes away from 4 of them. Every once in a while, I'll spend a weekend touring the wineries and taste testing their newest wines. And that's how I found my most favoritest wine in the world, a moscato called Strip & Go Skippin from the Naked Winery. This stuff is amazing. It's sweet and fruity with a crisp finish. I seriously can't get enough of it.

Especially if there's apple pie too. This moscato paired with apple pie is like heaven in my mouth. Heaven!

This is an excellent resource page for wine drinkers. I actually prefer Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc with just about anything or just by itself. lol But I am glad to know what actually should be paired with it. Excellent page and very helpful.
