The aroma of chocolate brownies baking in the oven fills the house and my family comes running. Like me, they know that nothing is beats the consistently perfect result of my chocolate brownie recipe. Straight from the oven whilst still warm and slightly gooey, they are at their best; but even days old these simple to make brownies are better than any other we have tried.
What was once reserved only for special occasions is now an anytime treat. In less than an hour from concept, we can be enjoying fudgy, rich, gooey chocolate brownies. They melt in our mouth and almost magically disappear from the pan, as everyone comes by and sneaks off a strip or a little corner.

Here is the best part: If you bake, you probably already have all the necessary ingredients in your cupboard to follow this recipe, as these brownies are made from basic baking ingredients.
- On the baking shelf I will find: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and vanilla essence.
- In the refrigerator I always have butter and eggs.

Super Easy Chocolate Brownie Recipe
*Remember to supervise children when they are melting the butter or working with hot ingredients.
Ingredients List for Super Easy Chocolate Brownies
- 3/4 cup butter (175 gm)
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla essence (extract)
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 350F (180C) degrees
- Melt butter in medium size sauce pan
- Add cocoa, stir until dissolved, then remove from heat
- Add sugar and vanilla to sauce pan, stir
- Mix in eggs one at a time
- Stir in remaining ingredients
- Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake for 25 minutes
- Cool completely before cutting into squares
Cooking Tip To Make Clean Up Easier:
After we melt the butter, we use the pot as our mixing bowl. Without the added mixing bowl, clean up is quicker. Plus we don't loose any of the butter.
Did You Know They Make Special Brownie Pans?
This was a big surprise to me. Personally, I prefer to eat the brownies from the center of the pan, the ones that are a bit gooey as they have no solid edges. Therefore, I prefer a use a traditional rectangular pan. However the rest of the family loves the edges (which I think is what most people prefer).
If you need uniform brownies (or other treats) this would be the easy way to get them. The divider is a separate piece added after the batter.
This pan is a bit of a compromise. I visualize cutting four per row, so there will be a few with two edges that are still soft and gooey the way I like them, along with more corners and crisp defined edges for everyone else.
