My BlenderBottle Sports Mixer: Love At First Shake
Looking for a way to easily mix your powdered drinks on-the-go? Here's what shaking ... the BlenderBottle Sports Mixer!
From the classic version to this new snazzy, jazzy design, I have been able to keep up with my "shake regimen" wherever I go.
What makes a BlenderBottle so special?
It's a BPA-free plastic shaker bottle that has a stainless steel wire ball inside that helps blend liquids and powders to a smooth drinkable consistency. In my case, I use it to blend almond or rice milk with my all-time-favorite "Garden of Life Raw Meal" as well as for powdered green drinks. My husband uses his bottle for protein powders after his workouts.
... have grippy sides and a leak-proof screw-on lid with a drink spout.
... have convenient markings etched on the side for easy measurement
... doesn't absorb flavors or odors. (In other words, my vanilla chai smoothie doesn't smell or taste like the green drink I had earlier)
... come in two sizes: a 20-ounce version which is ample for most folks and a larger 28-ounce size (my preference). They also come in some pretty cool colors (blue, green, red, orange +more)
... are pretty sturdy. (They even survive my husband's backpack)
... are super easy to clean.
On-the-Go Cleaning Tip: fill it half-full of water, put the lid on and shake. This usually loosens any excess coating from your shake. Pour out liquid and rinse. Of course when you get home you can wash as usual with a little dishwashing liquid.
Liquid first, then add your powder ...
I find that it's best to add your liquid first and then add your powder. I've tried the reverse: powder first, then adding liquid ... but somehow it didn't blend as thoroughly and left a few lumps. Not sure of the dynamics as to why this happens but I've heard others say the same thing. Other than that ...
I adore my BlenderBottle(s)
... and fully recommend them for anyone who wants to quickly and easily blend their favorite powdered drink mixes ... whether at home or on-the-go!
Already mentioned that these come in a range of great colors. I love the RED one, too!
