Brussels Sprouts with Garlic and Parmesan Cheese
One of my favorite ways to prepare fresh vegetables is to roast them in the oven. I like how they get crispy on the outside and tender inside.
When I make Brussels Sprouts with Garlic and Parmesan. I like how the garlic caramelizes and becomes so sweet that it melts in your mouth. The outside leaves of the sprouts get so nice and crunchy that they could easily be eaten as a snack. Just a few ingredients and a little salt and pepper is all you need for this simple and delicious dish. Enjoy.
- 1 lb. brussels sprouts
- 1 head garlic, separated and peeled
- 2 tbls olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- grated Parmesan cheese
- Trim ends of Brussels sprouts and halve. In a large plastic zipper bag add olive oil, salt and pepper. Mix, then add Brussels sprouts and garlic. Mix until vegetables are coated with oil. Prepare a large roasting pan or baking sheet with cooking spray. Add Brussels sprouts and garlic. Roast in a 425F. oven for 30-35 minutes, turning vegetables half way. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and serve.
