Butterball Deep Fryer

When looking for a Butterball deep fryer, also known as a Butterball turkey fryer, you will find that there are several different version made, some of them will be labeled as being made by Butterball while some will be labeled as being made by other companies such as AvexElectric, DSF AVM and Masterbuilt.

Of course they all carry the Butterball name but that doesn't mean they are of equal quality. From my own personal experience as well as from reviews I have found and read online the Butterball deep fryer that is manufactured by Masterbuilt seems to be not only the best turkey fryer but the least expensive as well.

If you have never experienced a succulent taste of a deep fried turkey then you really have no idea what you are missing. If you have then you know that you will not find a better tasting turkey and that turkey is no longer just for holidays.

With a Butterball deep fryer you can make your next backyard barbeque something a little more unique then just serving the traditional steaks, burgers and hot dogs and really impress your friends and family.

When it comes to the different models of Butterball turkey fryers you will find that most of them are electric turkey fryers that use oil, however you will also find a few models that are oil free. Of course the Butterball deep fryers that do use oil use 33% less oil than conventional deep fryers.

Between the different manufacturers and different models that you will find about the only difference you are going to see is that some have a 20 pound capacity while other only have a 14 pound capacity and that some come in all black while other have a mostly stainless steel finish. The Look and design is the same except for the oil free models.

Some of the features you are going to find on the Butterball turkey fryer include a digital timer, a power-ready indicator light, an adjustable thermostat control, a porcelain coated inner pot, a cooking basket with drain clip, a fold-away lid that has a viewing window, a built-in filter, a storage compartment for the cord and a drain valve for easy clean up.

If you want to be able to serve a deep fried turkey for your next holiday, barbeque or party then check out the selection of Butterball deep fryers shown below.

Masterbuilt Butterball Deep Fryer

Both of these deep fryers use oil which some folks prefer, however many people would rather not use oil so I have included one of the best oil-less Butterball turkey deep fryers for you to check out as well.

Cooking with Oil

Deep frying a turkey with oil has the benefit of the taste that comes from using peanut oil to fry your turkey. The downsides are the cost of the oil and the messy clean up. When we purchased our turkey fryer we were really torn between getting one that uses oil or going oil-less. We have a friend who has the Butterball Turkey Fryer Xl and we have been with them as they have cooked their turkey and I have to say that the taste was amazing and the fryer was very easy for them to use.

However we decided to go oil-less partly because of the cost of oil and the messy clean up but also for the fact that we are eating more healthy by cutting out the oil. However, with that being said, if you are not worried about the cost or clean up and don't really care about using oil then the Butterball Turkey Fryer Xl is a great product.

Oil Less Deep Fryers

Same Great Taste - Less Calories

These oil less deep fryers are great for those who want to skip the expense and messy clean up that comes from using peanut oil as well as the added calories. They also have the benefit of allowing you to use spices and rubs which will typically wash off the food when cooked in oil.

If you want a healthy alternative for deep frying your next turkey then the Masterbuilt Butterball oil-free deep fryer is perfect. The model features double-wall construction and uses radiant heat to cook your turkey to perfection. The radiant heat it produced with a 1,650-watt electric element that can cook turkeys, roasts and chickens up to 18 pounds. Additionally you can use the build in wood chip box to use your favorite wood chips to add in a smokehouse flavor.

Going Oil-less

As mentioned, my girlfriend and I decided to go oil-less and purchased the Masterbuilt 20100809 Butterball Oil-Free Electric Turkey Fryer. The three main selling points for us in making this decision was there is no added cost, not clean up and most important for us is that the turkey (or whatever meat you cook) is not fried in oil. We are a some what health conscious family and we try to stay away from fried foods and the Masterbuilt allows us to do that while still enjoying the great taste of a fried turkey.

We have used our turkey frier several times now and are more than happy with the job that it does. The clean up on it is fairly easy and we don't have to worry about hot oil burning us which is a plus as we have three children who at times like to get a little to close to things they shouldn't. For us, this was a great choice and we love it.
