Carrot Juice Recipes

Simple & Easy Carrot Juice

Most of us have probably got a bag of carrots in the fridge, and additionally to using them for cooking, what better way to utilize them than making a couple of simple and easy carrot juices?

Carrots are an economical vegetable which contains 90% water making them extremely easy to juice with. They are easy to mix and match with other fruit and vegetables, so here is a few basic carrot juice recipes to give you some ideas.

How to make Carrot Juice

A glass of carrot juice made from 4 large carrots (300g) contains around 120 calories, so I have based the following recipes on that amount of carrots per glass of juice. Feel free to adjust to your liking.

How to make: Always wash carrots and all other ingredients prior to juicing. Cut top off carrots and peel Citrus Fruits (e.g. oranges, lemons, lime, grape fruit etc). Cut to fit juicer, Juice & Enjoy!

Basic Carrot Juice: All you need to make a standard carrot juice is Carrots, and 4 large carrots will give you roughly one cup (250ml) of juice. You can also add Ginger and Lemon to your juice to give it a bit of a boost.

Just add 1 tablespoon Ginger and 1/2 peeled lemon, and you'll have a refreshing Juice! Ginger may be a bit of an acquired taste, so depending on your liking you may wish to add more or less. I commonly add ginger to my juices, and to my cooking in general, as I enjoy the strong flavor it gives.

Carrots + Apple, Orange, Kiwi, Strawberry


Carrot/ Orange Juice:

2 peeled oranges

4 medium sized carrots

Optional: add a few mint leaves

Carrot/ Apple Juice:

2 Green apples

4 medium carrots

Optional: add 1/2 tea spoon of ginger or add a few mint leaves

Carrot/Kiwi Juice

4 medium carrots

2 peeled kiwi fruits

Carrot/Strawberry Juice

4 medium carrots

1.5 cups of strawberries

Optional: add a few mint leaves

Carrot + Cucumber, Beet, Lime


Carrot/Cucumber Juice:

4 Carrots

1 large cucumber

1/4 peeled lemon

Carrot/Beet Juice:

4 carrots

2 beets (stems & leaves)

1/4 peeled lemon

Carrot/Lime Juice

4 carrots

1 peeled lime

optional: add a few mint leaves

Nutritional benefits

of Carrots

Carrots are high in magnesium, calcium and potassium, and contain small amounts of selenium, iron and zinc and are therefore a good source of minerals. Carrots also contain small amount of amino acids, although they are mostly water and carbohydrates.

So if looking to loose weight on a big scale, carrots should only be used in moderation, as they are a member of the High Carb vegetable group (e.g. potatoes, pees, corn, beets). However they are still a much better choice than a chocolate bar, so keep it in perspective :-)

One of the greatest benefits of eating/juicing Carrots is the improvement of eyesight and cleansing of the liver. Carrots are a great source of vitamins such as Vitamin A (via Beta carotene), K & C, and is an easy all round vegetable to juice and cook with.

      I love carrot juice but am not a great lover of carrots. I too made a carrot juice recipes lens which was published over three years ago but appears to have replaced by your lens. Not quite what I expected to find but a great carrot juice lens anyway ( If I am unable to find where my lens went I may use this lens of yours for another project online if I may)?
