Simple & Cheap Podless Single Serve Coffee Makers

Updated on July 30, 2013

The Cheapest Single Cup Coffee Maker Without Pods Is Going To Satisfy The Needs Of Most Coffee Drinkers

You know good coffee but you also know that simple, easy, and cheap coffee in the morning is all you need sometimes. If you are looking to buy a cheap single serve coffee machine that doesn't require pods, k-cups, or other prepackaged coffee grind trays then take a look on the low end. The quality of these machines makes them incredible bargains for their cost.

The Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker by Black & Decker comes with a travel mug, has a permanent filter, and uses run of the mill scoopable coffee ground of your choosing making this the most affordable coffee system of them all.

The "single serve" machine brews up to 15 ounces of coffee into the travel mug and can do less if you use less water. Obviously you can drop it down in size to a single 8-oz coffee cup if you want to but for those who take their coffee on the go it's nice that you have the ability to brew a full travel mug worth of Joe.

You can see more on this machine below or through one of these links on it's sales page. Alternatively you can see some fancier podless one serving coffee machine models lower on this page.

I love the concept of single serve coffee pots but hate that they all seem to require the expensive cups, pods, and trays. I like good coffee but sometimes you just want something cheap, simple, and effective.

The following page features one of the best coffee machines out there today. Instead of using a travel mug or a glass coffee pot it brews straight into a thermal carafe. Awesome!

Interested to read Kylie's comment re the Aldi badkemraer. I have tried twice with mine, the first was a disaster, second better but didn't turn out beautifully . I wonder what setting she used, any ideas?
