Updated on May 11, 2015

A Yummy Twist on a Moist Banana Bread Recipe

I love to make moist banana bread! Honestly I love to eat banana bread. I am always looking for a great banana bread recipe. And since I have a sour cherry tree, I am always on the lookout for a yummy recipe that uses sour cherries too. This year I hit the jackpot with this delicious cherry banana bread recipe. It was a new twist on traditional banana bread, and I could use fresh, homegrown cherries. It was so good, I just had to share it with all my fellow squids on Squidoo!

I love baking in stoneware! This stoneware bread pan makes your bread moist and almost impossible to burn on the bottom. As you use your stoneware, it seasons itself and becomes almost like a non-stick pan. This loaf pan is so versatile, you can make quick breads, yeast breads or even meatloaf in it. Try baking in a stoneware loaf pan today, you won't be sorry!

First Pumpkin bread is a close second to Banana bread. Second I have a friend that makes a great loaf of banana bread. And several others. However this does not look familiar. If you don't mind I will be passing it on to him.

Great lens! I was getting bored with banana bread but will try this the next time I make it. My favorite quick bread is apple bread with walnuts and raisins.

Nice lens. I have a recipe for banana bread and my family likes it a lot. Recently they asked for a little twist and all of a sudden I came across your idea. I must be very lucky!

I love banana bread and used to make a huge batch in the winter to last through the hot summer months. This year I somehow missed baking up my banana bread so I will have to rectify that mistake and get filling my freezer. Spring is here now.

I sure would try banana bread with a twist and your cherries sound like a great taste sensation. My sister just let me know she sent me a package and sometimes includes banana bread...maybe I'll be having some tomorrow!

I used to bake banana bread all the time and then it sort of fell off my radar. I need to get back on track as it's hubby's favorite! Thanks for the reminder and the great recipe ideas.

So, do I have to wait until next summer for more cherry bread? :) My dad brought over more zucchini, so I think I have to do some baking today.

Not a combination I would have thought of, bananas and cherries but you know, it sounds kind of good.
