A Sweet Combination - Chocolate Mint
Similar to mint chocolate chip, chocolate mint is a wonderful combination that comes in many different forms. You can find chocolate mint cookies, candy bars, protein bars, pies and shakes. Since I love mint so much, I'll show you all the different ways that this combination is put together.
Most of the time, chocolate mint is chocolate with mint flavoring. Mint chocolate chip is mint with chocolate accents, like mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Chocolate Mint Meltaways - Candy bars that melt in your mouth!
Smooth and creamy bars to satisfy your mint craving. Candy bars are cool and refreshing when the chocolate is infused with mint. It's not a separate layer of mint, it's just mint right inside the chocolate.

Mint Brownie Blast Pie from Bakers Square
Bakers Square has a new addition to it's fabulous pie list. Rich chocolate brownie layered with cool mint silk. Covered with morsels of chocolate mint cookie, drizzled with ganache and topped with whipped cream and more mint chocolate. All of this is nestled inside the "Golden Flaky Crust." It's delicious!!! I can attest to this because I've tried it a few times.
Andes Candies
When you think of chocolate mint, you think of Andes Candies, otherwise know as Andes Mints. Two layers of chocolate with a thin mint layer in between. They were introduced in 1950. Today you can find them in baking chips, ice cream, cakes, cookies and any other place that mint lovers can think to put them.

Dark Chocolate Mint
I have a hard time passing up any candy bar that has mint in it. This one is made from all natural ingredients and is a rich dark chocolate. Did you know that dark chocolate is good for you? It's been proven to lower the stress hormone cortisol. Eating one regular dark chocolate candy bar every day for 2 weeks helped reduce the cortisol level in highly stressed individuals. So not only delicious, but good for you too!
Thin Mints - Made by Girl Scouts
Chocolate Mints, now called Thin Mints, were one of the first three Girl Scouts cookies made. Decades later, Thin Mints still account for over 25% of all cookie sales. They are certainly my favorite!!
Something new - Thin Mints are making their way into everything. They are making Thin Mint ice cream and Thin Mint candy bars plus lots of other yummy treats.

Ingredients for a Grasshopper Shake
- 3 scoops of chocolate ice cream
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 Tbs of Creme de Menthe
- 1/2 pint of whipping cream (or spray whipping cream if you don't have a mixer)
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 Tbs of sugar
- 1 or 2 Belgium Chocolate Mint Thins
Instructions
- To make the shake: Put the ice cream, milk, and Creme de Menthe in a blender or smoothie maker. Blend all together. If the shake isn't your desired consistency, add ice cream or milk until its the way you like it.
- To make the whipping cream, pour the whipping cream, vanilla and sugar into the bowl. Mix on high speed until it's nice and fluffy.
- Put the whipping cream on top of the chocolate mint shake. Add the Belgium chocolate mint thins for a delicious decoration.
Chocolate Mint even has it's own day!

Seroogy's Mint Meltaway Bar
The name says it all.. Mint Meltaway. These are one of my all time favorite candy bar because they really do melt in your mouth.
The first time I had one of these candy bars, someone was selling them as a fundraiser at work. I bought the Mint Meltaway and wasn't expecting too much from a fundraiser. I was absolutely surprised at how good this candy bar was.
