Buying a new coffee maker because your old one is dead or you just have some spare cash is an important step. Look at it as an investment in your time and lifestyle. A coffee [maker] can make or break your day.

When you've made the decision to buy a new coffee maker you are up against a BIG question:

WHICH COFFEEMAKER SHOULD I BUY?

Should i buy an expensive machine with a lot of features?

Should I go for a simple solution?

Where can I find deals on coffeemakers?

Which coffeemaker do people buy most?

It is important to make a wise and informed buying decision and I think you will find some great tips in this lens

If this is coffee, then please-bring me some tea. But if this is tea, please bring me some coffee.

What Features Do You Need for Your Coffeemaker?

First things first.

Start with the features that you need your coffee maker to have.

Most coffee machines these days are multifunctional but still you want to make a simple checklist with the tings you want your coffeemaker to do.

Some coffee makers are filled with so many features, you won't even know where to begin.

  • Programmable settings

  • Thermal carafe/thermal mug
  • Small-batch setting
  • Brew-strength control
  • Pause and serve
  • Auto shutoff
  • Controls on the side
  • Longer warranty
  • Spare carafe
  • Self-clean cycle
  • Water filter
  • Carafe prewarm
  • Built-in grinder
  • Temperature adjustment

As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.

How Much Money Do You Need To Buy a Coffeemaker?

Not all coffee makers are expensive

Choosing a coffee maker after e week long research only to find out you can't afford it is a real pain.

Don't forget to set a price range in the beginning of your buying cycle to avoid future disappointment.

Although there are people who'd sell their mother for a morning coffee, you don't need to pay a fortune to put your hands on a pretty good coffee maker.

Don't Call It "Expresso"

Home Coffee Roasting

Recently I've come across a couple of videos and how to-s on roasting your coffee at home. It seems quite easy and I'm sure I'll love the smell around the house even if i fail with the roasting part. I'm buying this book Because I always prefer to have a resource at hand if I need specific information.

Wish me luck :)

Big or Mini, Purple, Orange, Red or Green Coffee Maker - Size and color matter when choosing the best coffee maker

Designer Coffee Maker
Designer Coffee Maker

The moment you think "This is it - I have found the perfect coffee maker for me!" and the guy in the store tells you the red ones are out of stock! Awful! Almost the end of the world.

Ok, you may be one of those people who will choose the classic black coffee machine and that is totally alright. But imagine if you just remodeled your kitchen in blue or purple - wouldn't it be nice if your coffee maker color was the perfect match?

Also think about how big you want your coffee maker to be. Will it fit your counter top free space?

Before pulling your credit card out of the wallet think about what's the most important thing in design aspect about your coffee maker - is it the size or the color or the shape?

How many times a day do you drink coffee?

I must have my coffee. I've found that it's the water, and the freshly ground beans that matter more than the maker. I have a French press, Melitta manual drip maker, and an espresso machine. All make great java.
