Coupons for vegetarian food products

Updated on December 23, 2012

What happens when you ask health food, vegan and vegetarian product companies for coupons?

A friend of mine is vegan AND uses coupons. One of the main complaints people often have about using coupons to save money is that they generally seem to be only for things that are unhealthy - AKA "Junk Food." When is the last time you saw a coupon for a vegetarian food?

So I asked her how she saves money on vegetarian foods. She encouraged me to look of the products in the store and write down the names and the company's web addresses, then use those to contact the companies. She said she was often able to get really good coupons by doing that.

I decided to give it a shot. I wrote several vegetarian food companies, telling them that I am trying to adopt a vegetarian diet and asking if they have any coupons they could send me. This page is to document the responses I received from the companies.

As you will see, most have a very positive response to my request. Some just refer me to their Facebook page (what about people who don't like Facebook? I use Facebook but I am against "Liking"'s getting ridiculous.) Anyway, that's a Facebook rant for another time. I hope you enjoy this page and that the information helps you save money as well as time.

Here is the standard email query I sent these companies:

And below, see their responses.

"Hello. I am trying to eat healthy and am on day 7 of a vegetarian diet and I want to try healthier products but am cautious about spending a lot of money to be able to try new things. Was wondering if you have any coupons. Thank you so much."

Cool! That is a huge complaint of mine and I've not even looked at coupons for a long time as they generally are not for things I would buy! Thanks for sharing!

Oh wow. You really scored on the coupons! Kroger and Publix would be the better place to try out those $0.50 off coupons since they would double. Although I'm a big Publix I like Kroger's Natural Foods (vegan/vegetarian) selection the best. Good luck and happy eating.
