Cupcake Fun
There is always room for one more cupcake...
Who doesn't like cupcakes? From when your eyes spot your intended delicious treat to when you anticipate sinking your teeth into the delicious frosting and feel as if everything in the world is perfect, how much joy can you experience when enjoying your own special moment eating a cupcake.
I love cupcakes. Whether it's morning coffee with the girls or taking a box of cupcakes as a little treat to friends when I go visiting, I'm not too fussy what time of day I eat them. I have to confess though, the best feeling I have is when I make them with the children. It is fascinating to watch them make their own special designs with the frosting, and they are very territorial over which one they get to eat. It has to be the one they decorated.
The first time I made them with the children was when I had 8 over for a playdate. I was trying to be pro-active and think of all the games they could play before they started getting tetchy with each other. Decorating cupcakes went down a treat. I thought that the little girls would tolerate my interaction with them better than the little boys but they were equally entranced with the task at hand. OK, they made a little mess, but nothing that couldn't be easily cleaned up. Any extra cleaning I had to do was well worth it when I saw the concentration and intensity on their little faces as they first put the frosting on and then added their decorations, from little flowers to ricepaper trees I had left over from Christmas. It was magical. They were so proud of themselves as they showed their specially decorated cupcake to their parent when they were later picked up. Not a single child wanted to eat their decorated cupcake at my house, they were all proudly taken home.
OK, I know when the children decorate the cupcakes that they're not going to be perfect. My picture is an example. The icing may run over the side. They're not going to win any prizes at a decorating competition, but I don't care. As far as I am concerned they make me smile and I'm filled with joy at the thought my children feel good about themselves. Isn't that what love is all about?

Decorating Sets
When you start using a decorating set don't worry. You will make a mess and the icing won't go exactly where you want it to go. Practice on a baking sheet, even when you're not making cupcakes, and your skills will soon surface. The good thing is, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and your cupcakes will taste wonderful regardless of how they look. I know this fact from experience.
Your little ones will love these
I find children love receiving baking sets as presents
Traditional and Modern cases
These silicon cupcake holders are great for baking muffins too. Lovely colors, use and then put into the dishwasher for cleaning.
Cupcake Boxes
Sometime it's nice to take a special treat to someone. My boys love taking a single cupcake to their Grandmothers.
