Delicious Holiday Cooking with Pumpkin

Updated on November 11, 2013

Nothing says fall and holidays quite like pumpkin and nothing gets mouths watering more than delicious pumpkin desserts and holiday treats. Rather than go for the usual sugar filled kind, try a couple of more healthy recipes here made with Farmers Market Organic Pumpkin Puree. Farmer’s Market Organic Pumpkin is smooth and delicious, and ready to use for everything. Rich, thick and creamy, It has no added sugars or fillers and less water than other brands.

You may notice that Farmer’s Market Organic Pumpkin puree is darker in color than most other brands. That's because only the finest quality organic pumpkins are used to make it and it is so rich in beta-carotene, Some studies have shown that beta carotene may help regulate blood sugar, protect against heart disease, and have anti-inflammatory properties.,

Also, Farmer’s Market Organic Pumpkin has large amounts of dietary fiber, which is good for digestion and antioxidants. It is high in potassium and low in overall calories and fat. It also contains a fair amount of vitamin C and other nutrients such as niacin, vitamin E, calcium and iron.

Not only is it great for the pumpkin bread recipe shared here, it is also excellent in parfait, soups, sauces, pies, muffins, cookies and even chili. Add it to your favorite crock pot recipe for a new zing. You also might consider giving some to your furry friends as it helps to bring out the flavor in dry dog and cat food as well as keep those companions regular.
