Delivery? Or Digiorno? Which is Really Better?

Updated on February 22, 2014

HERE'S WHAT I THINK...

There is no way I could mistake Digiorno for professional delivery pizza! Unlike the hand-tossed, *fresh* crust of delivery pizza, Digiorno's too-sweet sauce is spread over a pre-baked crust-Frisbee, (which then turns soggy in the oven).

And Digiorno's new "Wyngz"side dish?? At least delivery places have wings made from chicken wing meat! Digiorno's? They had to call theirs "wyngs" to avoid claims of false marketing! To top it all off, Digiorno's charges $5.99 for their personal size pizza at my local store. For only $5, I can have a medium Delivery pizza any time I want.

Is that delivery? Or Digiorno's? If it's hot, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced...it's delivery!

YOUR TURN!

Delivery? Or Digiorno? Which is really better?

This lens was created as part of the RocketMoms Summer 2011 Session. Yay! :)

What is *your* favorite type of pizza?

As a pizza lover, I can't stand DiGiorno. From grocery stores, my pick would be California Pizza Kitchen or Newman's.

I actually like a good Sicilian pizza or a real tomato pie. Either is really special. Digiorno is just awful stuff.

Only in Italy! :) I don't think Digiorno has reached Europe.

Interesting lens! I definitely prefer pizzas from restaurants. I usually order pizza margherita.

The thinner the crust the better with feta cheese, onions, basil leaves and chicken...Papa Murphy's Take and Bake FTW!

Papa Murphy's Take N Bake is actually probably my favorite... even though it isn't hot and ready to eat when you buy, the ingredients are ALWAYS fresh and the pizza never comes out too greasy.

I like a lot of veggies on my pizza unless I'm doin' ham and pineapple. Recently we started buying pepperoni pizza from the Little Caesar's in Elgin - amazingly enough, it's really tasty and a bargain at $5 each. I don't know what they are doing that's different, but it's the first Little Caesar's Pizza place I've tried that I liked.

My favorite place to get veggie pizza just went out of business. I now frequent Round Table for my pizza fix because our Tea Party group gets a good deal when we reserve a room and have a meeting there. If I have to eat frozen, I get a four-cheese Red Baron and add mushrooms and bell peppers to it before backing. It's second best , but OK if you've got to have pizza.

There are some really good kinds of frozen pizza out there. DiGiorno is not one of them.

I have never tried Digiorno pizza to be honest. My favorite pizza is veggie, especially on the spicy side. I do LOVE Amy's vegan frozen vegetable pizza, it doesn't have cheese, but is delicious. Fun lens!

My favorite pizza is regular crust, sausage, green pepper, onion, and black olive, with garlic butter or regular butter to put on the crust... but I have had some great unusual pizzas lately too that were great.

My favorite pizza depends on my mood. I pretty much like all concoctions, as long as there are no onions and I gotta have my anchovies!

Extra Cheese. Italian Sausage. Pepperoni. Olives. ... All on the same pie, of course.

Contrary to most Americans, although I do enjoy Pepperoni Pizza, I also enjoy genuine Italian Pizzas and some of the weird and wonderful Thai Chicken Pizzas or even Chicken Tikka Pizzas. Hard to say what is my favorite though, probably one with plenty of veggies and some tasty meat and plenty of sauce too.

We have our baseball league meetings at our local pizza place. Making pizza at home cannot compete with the ones baked in their ovens.

Pepperoni, onions and peppers with enough good sauce and cheese always makes the best pizza.
