Easy Asparagus Recipes

Asparagus is one of the first vegetables to be ready to harvest after a long cold winter. Many people, myself included, are craving fresh vegetables. Now that spring is on the way, I can't wait for the asparagus to start growing.

There isn't an easier way to prepare Asparagus. Garlic and asparagus make a wonderful flavour combination and I prepare this recipe a couple times a week during asparagus season.

Green garlic looks like green onions and is available in early spring like asparagus, but can be quite hard to come by so I grow my own. Garlic scapes are the flower pods and stalks from the garlic and are also available in later asparagus season. Garlic cloves make a good substitute if you can't find any green garlic or garlic scapes.

Use more garlic if you really like garlic, or less if it's not your favourite flavour.

I do love fresh asparagus. I'm afraid I'm not much of a cook, so I usually eat asparagus however someone else has prepared it for me!

I just put it in a plastic bag with olive oil and salt and pepper. Mix it up and grill it. Thanks for your recipes!
