How to Live to Be 100 Years Old

Updated on January 10, 2014

How to live longer

To live as much as you and still have a good health status and satisfaction is not too complicated. Just consistently apply some simple recipes from the world around you and you'll be just fine. Your body will help you understand longevity better if you'll help it. Remember that green tea is a the traditional drink in China, the country which has a lot of people over 100 years. Researchers at the "Medical College of Ohio" in 1997 found that in addition to antioxidants, green tea inhibits the formation and growth of cancer cells. No cancer means longer life.

Another interesting advice is to adopt a cat. Karen Allen, a researcher in medicine at the Buffalo University (United States) said that "cat plays the pathogenic effects of stress buffer". A cat in the house means, therefore, low blood pressure - as a result - and a lower risk of heart disease.

Bio Honey and Longer Life

Another interesting advice is to mimic bees. No, I don't mean you should fly around. I mean you should drop the candy and convert to honey and pollen. A recent study in a hospital in New York showed that they will positively affect cholesterol and triglycerides. It should be noted that life expectancy in beekeepers is superior to that of the general population.

This elixir of life slows aging processes and strengthens your vital organs. Moreover, high glucose content of honey is a food source for the nerve cell, it brings energy to the body, banishes stress and intellectual fatigue. Finally, researchers say that bio honey is the only food that contains all the vitamins and minerals found in nature.

It's time for changes in your life

If you love your partner / spouse you should know that 5% of lung cancers are due to passive smoking and the smoker is the spouse or co-workers. A U.S. study found an increase of 23% of coronary mortality in male non-smoking women married to smokers.

Keep blood pressure under control. With age, blood pressure affects more and more the life expectancy. Preventing them is based on well-known rules of life: physical exercise, balanced diet, low salt diets, excess weight. Water is the source of life. Researchers have shown that more than five glasses of water drunk daily reduced risk of heart disease by 60%. And if I wrote about water, it's time to wash your hands. A good approach of hand hygiene (4 washes per day) will make the difference.

Rely on technology to live longer

Although the technology could have negative effects if it's not used properly, you could use it to prolong your life. Simple devices like blood pressure monitors or advanced ones like deep brain stimulators will make life a lot easier and longer for people with a troubled health. You can also use the Internet to stay informed, to learn about new medical techniques or about new health recipes.

Be social, keep yourself happy

They say that your mood could have great influence on your lifespan. It is well known that happy people are healthier. We can assume that happiness makes them have a better health status. So, having a job where you go to enjoy a proper education, having a good and stable relationship or simply get involved in the lives of others are things that could lead to good health and happiness.

Act now, and become a part in appropriate social groups. If you want to be healthier, the best thing you can do is to think about the type of people with whom you would like to spend time with, and try to approach them. One of the secrets to longevity is to join social groups and to choose your hobbies or your job that makes you to adopt healthier patterns of behavior and perform useful activities. It is a gradual but effective way to change yourself.

Use the toothbrush and floss your teeth

Researchers reported that there is a 86% higher risk to develop bacteria that pass into the bloodstream for a person never floss or doesn't clean his teeth regularly, compared to another person who clean his teeth every day by using the toothbrush or the floss string. This method is an important one because not only it will help you have a clean and healthy teeth, but it prevents the formation of bacterial colonies that can cause, besides the inconvenient cavities and inflammatory syndromes, heart attacks, strokes and premature births but.
