Ingredients of Fenugreek Leaves Rice
- 2 Cups of Fenugreek Leaves
- 2 Cups Cooked Rice
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 10 Cashew nuts broken into pieces (optional)
- 1 tsp Fresh Ginger Paste
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
- ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 2 Red Dried Chillies
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- Salt (as required)
- Oil (as required)
- Grated Cheese (optional)
- Grated Coconut (optional)
Method of Preparation of Methi Rice
Heat Oil in a Kadai and add the cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, red chillies, ginger paste and garlic paste and fry for 2-3 minutes. Now add chopped Onion and cashew nuts and fry till the onions are soft. Once done add the fenugreek leaves and salt and cook the same. Once the methi leaves are cooked add the rice and mix well. Remove from flame and garnish using grated cheese or grated coconut and serve hot with cucumber raita and papad.
