I suppose if you swallowed at all after chewing, you'd get some of the nutrients or minerals or whatever from the food.
But the short answer is NO you didn't eat it.

I would not call it eating. I would call it very efficient bulimia.

Why do dogs take their food out of the bowl to eat it?Both of my dogs will get a mouth full of food and then carry it to the tile floor to eat it. Why do they do this?
