Have your eating habits changed after the last 10 years? What has changed?
less sugar, no more sugar substitutes, cut out caffeine, and try to add more fruits and vegetables and drinking lot of water, these were my goals when I decided to loss some of my extra pounds. For the most part though I am eating more vegetarian style meals in general. I've also lost ... (some) pounds during this time and It's ok because I've got weight to spare but hopefully other foods start sounding good to me. Changing food habits is not so easy, lot of control is needed and I can say up to a desire level, i succeeded.
Seeing as how I was only 12 ten years ago, I should hope that my eating habits have changed! I drink herbal teas now, something I would have never done back then. I also enjoy eating bare salads, were as a teen I used to coat any green veggie in a hefty amount of ranch dressing.
Yes, my eating habits have changed mainly in that I almost don’t eat meat anymore (red meat almost never, poultry and fish once in a while). Very rarely do I eat rice, pasta, refined bread or starchy plant products like potato. In general I’d say I eat in a healthier more balanced and delicious way and enjoy food much more than before.
Seriously! I rarely cook anything that comes in a package, Learned how to enjoy fresh vegetable and fruits, less meat. Learned that all the spices in my spice rack are usable not just there to decorate the kitchen. Water is my drink of choice and when I am out it is Mineral Water with lemon instead of Soda or Alcohol.
Menopause is mean and ugly, and you can gain weight by looking at food. I had to change my eating habits in order to maintain and eventually lose weight in order to beat back mother nature.
Yes indeed! As far as frequency of eating goes, that hasn't changed, but what I eat has. I used to hate mushrooms as a child but I LOVE them now! I cannot live without them. Also, I eat egg yolks now. I used to hate the taste of them, but now I love breaking up an egg on rice just to get that gooey, runny, yellow goodness all over my rice and it tastes great!
My eating has changed some, but my knowledge and food ambition has significantly changed. I know much more about healthy eating and, truthfully, the dangers of the American food system. I have a goal I'm working toward, like becoming much more vegetarian and eating foods that have little-to-no processing.
Definitely! But then again, this time ten years ago I would've not hit double digits in my age.
While my " habits" have, my foods of choice has not.
There was a time, when I took great advantage of ......" kids eat free", " family night", and " all you can eat" buffets.
Same ole food............now, cooked by my hands only. Much of it, is grown by me.
Still eating the same food.........just taking more personal notice , intervention, and involvement.
Knowing how I eat today, I have a hard time, recalling, eating a food that I did not personally prepare in the last 2 years.
Though, I do not have any special or restrictive dietary concerns,......I think that it means a good deal, when "hubby" says, " I'll take you out for dinner".....and I say, " hey, I can make that at home". Life would be so good, if he would do kitchen duty and clean up!
Heck yes they have! 10 years ago, I would not go near a potato, pot pie, onions, peppers, beats, celery, tomatoes, & other things... Now, I cook/use/eat them all of the time. I even juice beats & celery!
I still won't touch egg yolk, & I don't see that changing in the next 10 years. =]
And, I eat much healthier than I did 10 years ago, and do not drink soda at all. (I didn't juice 10 years ago, nor did I cook much. I do both as much as often now.)

Should food ever be limited to a child? My 7 year old eats more than all the other 4 people in our home put together. He literally eats from the time he wakes up until he goes to bed. If I make a meal he eats 3 adult servings. He is not unhealthy and the majority of the foods he eats are healthy....
