Me, I'm pretty simple so I say a huge ribey medium rare, a nice salad , a baked potatoe with butter and sour cream , and a nice imported beer
Someone else .... anyone, picking up the tab!
Personally I like McDonalds Fun Meals,..LOL (Yes Im a Cheap Date)
some good, hot mesquite-charcoal-grilled chicken wih a nice sear on it but still moist and juicy, some plain Basmati rice with a little butter, salt and pepper on it, and some nice fresh green beans sauteed in olive oil with fresh garlic and shallots, and an ice cold glass of tea, then a sliver of chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache and fresh raspberry sauce and black coffee, sitting on the patio with friends around the firepit.
that is an ideal meal, all right.
Medium rare filet or ribeye with a really good salad!
Yum, now I'm hungry!
Roast pork with roast potatoes, apple sauce, fresh vegetables and crackling.
Sushi for dinner! Maybe some green tea ice cream or yogurt for dessert!
Yay!
lobster and steak with anything chocolate for dessert.
tom yung soup,
rib eye steak/chicken curry
and rice
plus fruit salad for dessert
I went to this sushi restaurant called Sensais in Kona a few weeks ago and I have to say that the most delicious sushi I have ever had (it might possibly be the greatest thing to ever grace my taste buds) was the panko crusted shashimi ahi with butter sauce.
Add a side of Saki and I am good to go! Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy...
Spinach and rice, roast artichokes, and a Greek Salad - followed by Greek Yoghurt and honey.
All washed down with a glass of Ouzo or two
I am hungry now, reading all of this, I will make a chicken curry!
fried chicken, mash potatoes with gravy, and green bean casserole!
The very last, best meal in a great atmosphere with people I like that I've had: Could be almost anything, anywhere.
The last one was Chicken Tandori with Basmati rice, Indian flat bread and a host of sauces with unbelievable spices...in a comfortable/elegant restaurant with candles and flowers on the tables. It was cold outside and the Chai tea was perfection!
Heaven, .
if steak is on the menu, just a little seasoning and salad, martini lemonade and ice
Favorite comfort food is pork chops w/gravy and mashed potatoes.
Favorite food my hubby makes, prime rib!
Fish and Chips on a cheap plastic tray eaten with a wooden fork in a cold seaside town in winter. Throw in a few mushy peas too and it's perfection.
Candlelight, great companions, wonderful conversation, a medium rare steak with a side of skinny sketti and grilled veggies...ummm. Be sure to start with a reaspberry daiquiri and move to a good red wine. (end the night with a bubble bath, a roaring fire and more wine)... can't beat the combination!
It has to be Blackened Salmon Opoelusas with crab meat, shrimp and oysters, and Jabalaya rice. Of course Boudin sausage and rice as an appitizer. All served with fresh bread and Citris tea.
Candle light
a warm drink
nothing but time
sauteed onions, chop liver, and stir fried mixed vegetables.
I love fish, so my ideal dinner would consist of:
Cajun baked Salmon or Catfish, mixed vegetables with diced fruit (like mango or pineapple), with steamed white rice! Dessert would be a creamy cheese-cake with strawberry topping. Don't forget the wine; a simple wine, like a zinfandel. Let's eat!
Dog brains, duck embryos, chcken guts and pig blood soup, real filipino foods=)
Give me brown rice with with a veg in a sloppy homemade tomatoe sauce and I'll be happy all day long (I'm easy to please)

What are some cheap, but yummy, meals?I'm moving into an apartment for the first time in the next two weeks, and I'm gonna be poor. Very. But I can make it so long as I budget, so I'm looking for some nutritional cheap meals that I can cook (preferably ahead of time).
