What kind of food do you eat most?
I'm not talking about Italian, Ukrainian, etc...
I'm talking about homemade, eat-out, or order-in.
And if you homemade mostly, do you eat actual homemade food from scratch, or do you buy prepackaged foods?
I am a huge believer in eating and cooking homemade food. I usually make most of everything from scratch because I know what is being put into it and where it's coming from. It's also nice because when I do go out to eat, I enjoy it so much more.
Self cook Chinese cuisine. Occasionally eating out - Fast food
We eat homemade from scratch. My husband will not eat prepackaged food except for the very occassional Hamburger Helper which reminds him of his childhood. We are southern, so we are used to cooking from scratch on a regular basis. We do like to eat out way too much and are trying to curb that currently. We also garden throughout the entire year, so that helps in cooking fresh food as well.
Carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, okra and squash..my favorites...with perhaps green jalopena sauce..as it has zing and is not too hot..and sometimes I make a yogurt lemon sauce...usually I steam my veggies...but I also eat them raw..another veg I enjoy is cabbage soup , with a tomato base...I have recently made a pasta and mixed in the steamed veggies with diced tomatoes and mashed Avacodo, little sea salt and fresh ground pepper..I also use spices like Tumeric/Cinnamon/Garlic/ Sage and Ginger...speaking of which a Ginger Tea goes well with all these dishes...my mouth is watering already, so I better get off to bed..too late to snack now...good question, look forward to reading some other writes..maybe aome good veggie receipes.....
I eat and cook chicken dishes very often during the week. As it works for me, I perfer homemade meals as I m a tight ass just add veggies, sauce, rice or a healthy salad and still leftovers for lunches.
Being a tight ass is a good reason not to eat out! lol
Agree, good food can be just as yummy as homemade then takeaway and for this reason, I shall shout myself a movie night once a fortnight with my savings "being a tight ass".
I like to pretend I eat mostly homemade, but the reality is with a hectic work schedule, I just can't find the time to make something from scratch... and I'm a sucker for Indian takeaway!
Most of my food is prepackaged. Occasionally, I go out. I rarely make anything myself.
Mainly homemade foods. I enjoy easy-to-make items and often make extra to have leftovers next day.
Interesting - There are many 20 minutes meals or 2-4 ingredient meals that can be made at home...I think many people don't realize that homemade can be easy!
Since my wife is Japanese we do eat a good combination of Avocado, Miso sauces/spices and raw tuna (mainly side dishes). Main dish will always be plain rice.
i just recently found out that i have Celiac. Since then, my diet is mostly consisting of tossed salads, rice, and raw carrots (for my eyes). i don't like ready-made foods. I have always liked to know what is in my foods that i feed my family so i make my own from scratch. it's healthier and tastes much better.

I'm not a brilliant cook, rather I'm just learning the ropes. Hopefully, I'll cook something palatable in the near future. Anyway, I often enjoy a different cuisine in a reputable restaurant. If asked to choose between homecooked meals and takeaway, I'd surely choose homemade food, as would many...

I've heard a lot lately about eating "raw" foods and how healthy it is supposed to be. Does anyone know about this and how you'd begin?

Why do most of the Star Hotel request their Customers to avoid homemade food to their restaurants?
