      Thank you for reading and appreciating this article. I am glad that you liked the information about this healthy legume. I understand, that it might not be available in your part of the world. But, you may get the dried green chickpeas. But, they need to be soaked overnight to cook into various recipes. Moreover, dried ones do not match the taste of the fresh green chickpeas.

    I would enjoy tasting your recipe.  I have never eaten green chick peas, only the ripened ones used in making hummus, etc.  Thanks for your recipe and information about them.  Thanks Rosina for sharing this information with us in the forums.

      Even in India, green chickpeas are not available everywhere. Fresh ones are tender, sweet and juicy, and taste delicious, as compared to the dried ones.

    We mostly have chick peas here in salads, but I'm certain others probably do include in meals.

    Your information shows they are high in protein, so that helps diabetics.
    I'm prediabetic, so I often choose foods high in protein.

    Hopefully this growing season i can find some fresh ones.
