How to make great fried potatoes

Yields: One serving = ` 1 potato per person.

Ingredients

  • 1 Russett Potato, Sliced as thin as possible. This is the secret to success.
  • Coat pan with layer of Vegetable Oil
  1. Do not add salt to the potato until after it is cooked. Never fry the potato in corn or olive oil, as oil will burn.
  2. Cook the potato on medium heat on the stove, you can't go wrong. Do not cover frying pan. Do not to cook more than one layer at a time. Do not add water when cooking, potato will have a mealy taste. Never put your potatoes that you get at the store in the refrigerator, as this will cause them to have a grainy texture. Some people recommend soaking potato in cold water for 2 hours before cooking, but this is optional.
